Ginger's write-up for recital program book 2014....

I wasn't sure how I was going to start my write-up this year for the recital program book.  In fact, since I had written a message about our new Diamond Dance Force, I was going to skip my annual write-up....but Ms. Debbie Boyd (the one in charge) and Ms. Tina (the one behind the one in charge) informed me that they had left a page for me, and it would mess up their program book....so I sat down to write....

About that time, two car loads of the Backporch Cloggers arrived at our Wesley house in Gatlinburg, and you can forget the concentration after that...

"Welcome Home" I said to the kids as they unloaded, and unloaded, and unloaded the cars....by the way this is only for 2 days!  LOL!  However, Ms. Mendy had been grocery shopping....and it appears to be enough food for the entire summer!

Then as Brock turned the TV on, he began to practice his spoon playing; you see he has become quite a 'hit' as 'Scrappy' in our shows!  Laughter rang from upstairs as Ms. Staci hollered "bring down your dresses you are wearing tonight"! Then Ms. Staci commenced to ironing as Ms. Mendy began unpacking the groceries and cooking supper. (By the way, multitasking is a definite prerequisite to be a Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales Backporch Cloggers' chaperone!)

I love it!!! What a blessing to share in the lives of these dancers and Moms!!!  Summer Season begins June 13th and goes through August 9th.  Our Backporch Cloggers will be dancing and bringing joy to the streets of Gatlinburg Wed.-Sun. nights 6:00-11:00 pm.  Hope you can come see us!!

This is just one of the many thrills of sharing in the lives of GBA families! It all starts when you sign up your daughter or son for a dance class....you never know, you might even end up in Gatlinburg, on a competition team or a member of the Diamond Dance Force!  There will be fun parades, mall shows, recitals and making lots of new friends, some of which will last a lifetime!  Look at Ms Debbie Parsons...she went to work here when her daughter began dancing....now her daughter is a nurse in Ohio, married and has 2 precious little boys...but Ms. Debbie is still here!!!(And thank goodness for that!!)  In fact, the majority of our Instructors grew up dancing in this family (of course we love the new family members just as much!!!)

As your dancer matures, there are still all the fun things.....but for some, dance begins to take on a deeper meaning as it becomes more of the language for their inner self.  I once heard it said that dance is the only true art of which we ourselves are the substance of which it is made....

There is an unexplainable energy, a passion, a "FORCE" that is translated through the dancer into movement, and because God made each one of us different, this expression of movement is unique.  So today.....DANCERS, as you take the stage,  unleash that energy, passion..."Unleash the Force Within You!

Luv to each of you, and may God bless you and your families always!
